About Rowad

The 7th edition of the Qatar Entrepreneurship Conference – Rowad Qatar – will be taking place from the 8th till the 10th of November, during the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). Rowad Qatar is a QDB brand and is a part of the GEW community.
The conference is considered an important platform in terms of promoting & boosting the culture of entrepreneurship within Qatar, and contributing to the local economy’s vitality & diversification.
Rowad Qatar is a celebration of entrepreneurial milestones & achievements that not only takes place locally, but worldwide as well. It encourages entrepreneurs, startups and SMEs to enhance their entrepreneurial knowledge & capabilities by providing a platform through which the spirit of entrepreneurship is endorsed & influential ecosystem players connect, exchange insights & collaborate.

Jim Scheinman is the Founding Managing Partner of Maven Ventures, a leading Silicon Valley consumer-focused seed venture fund with over $100M of assets under management. Jim is best known for coming up with the name Zoom as a very early investor in the company and acts as an advisor to the founder of Zoom.
