BRIEF ABOUT THE SERVICE

Sometimes, what exporters really need is a thorough knowledge of world markets and potential opportunities, as well as a practical support in promoting their services and products. This is why QDB launched the export development agency ‘Tasdeer’ in 2011, to service all Qatari exporters regardless of the size of their export contracts, the sector they represent or their turnover.
The export development and promotion program Tasdeer offers you multiple tools that help you identify your export opportunities and tap into world markets in a sustainable manner.

The TASDEER DEVELOPMENT MISSION:

EXPORT DEVELOPMENT SERVICES:

  • WORKSHOPS
      Join QDB’s specialized workshops to learn more about the importance of export and the opportunities you can benefit from. You will also learn about key policy topics such as free trade agreements, the single-window capacity-building incentives.
  • EXPORT READINESS PROGRAM
      The Export Readiness Initiative aims at increasing the potential for non-exporting SMEs to become export-ready. The program complements our existing services by filling knowledge gaps, both within our staff and among the SMEs we work with.
  • ENTERPRISE EUROPE NETWORK
      Qatar Development Bank (QDB), through its export program, Tasdeer, enabled the nation to become the first country amongst the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states to acquire full membership of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN),to be the 67th country in the Network.
      The Enterprise Europe Network, commonly known as “the Network,” is an initiative of the European Commission to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with international ambitions in the European Union (EU) and its international partner countries. The Network is active in more than 66 countries worldwide (including 28 EU member countries and 38 non-member countries outside of the EU), bringing together 3,000 experts from more than 600 member organizations.
      This network gives QDB a range of services to enable access to importers or distributors and suppliers of products and services in all sectors, in more than 65 countries. It also offers the opportunity to Qatari companies to search through a huge database of partners, manufactures, distributors or suppliers.

MARKET AND BUSINESS-RELATED INTELLIGENCE:

  • MARKET STUDIES:
      Enabling the exporting community to penetrate identified new markets by conducting market studies on a set of potential products and sharing the report with the exporters.
  • TRADE SECRETS:
      The Trade Secrets export guide in English and Arabic is designed to introduce Qatari exporters to the procedures and techniques involved in exporting their products at a local level and in targeted foreign markets.
      The Trade Secrets export guide was issued by Tasdeer in collaboration With the International Trade Centre - Geneva, and includes information on:
    • Quality standards requirements
    • Buyers’ requirements
    • Trade regulations
    • Custom duties
    • Non-custom challenges
    • Issues relevant to globalization and its effects on international trade

  • TRADE REPORT:
      Product & Country reports are prepared based on ITC’s trade map & market access map and other relevant internet information for the benefit of Qatari exporters. These reports are sent to SMEs on a regular basis.
  • FREE-TRADE AGREEMENT GUIDE:
      This guide was issued in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Commerce to increase awareness among Qatari exporters about the importance of free trade and to highlight its essential aspects and the countries covered by the Free Trade Agreement.
