Qatar Development Bank Launches Second Phase of Binaa National Platform
Integrated Designs to Empower Citizens in Home Construction Journey
Doha, Qatar: Qatar Development Bank (QDB) has announced the launch of the second phase of the Binaa national platform, which introduces a comprehensive list of contractors and consultants, along with a variety of integrated home designs for citizens. This phase, developed in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development and Family and the Ministry of Municipality, builds on the success of the first phase, which focused on the registration of contracting companies and consulting offices. The latest initiative aligns with QDB’s ongoing commitment to supporting citizens benefiting from the housing loan program, offering integrated solutions that simplify the home-building journey.
The second phase of Binaa offers 10 free home designs in various models and sizes, with future expansion options available. These designs are offered in a variety of styles, including classic, modern, and others, created to the highest engineering standards, ensuring they meet citizens' needs. The designs also contribute to streamlining the planning and construction process, while helping reduce design costs.
Through the platform, citizens can select the designs that best suit their needs, view detailed quantity tables, and explore different finishing options, giving them a clear idea of expected costs. Each design includes an integrated package with architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical plans, facilitating a quicker process for obtaining official approvals from the relevant authorities as all designs have already received preliminary approval from the Ministry of Municipality, speeding up the permit approval process.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Batti Rashid Al-Nuaimi, Senior Director of QDB's Housing Loans Department, said: "With the introduction of these new, optional designs via the Binaa platform, we have made sure to offer a range of options to suit the diverse tastes and preferences of our citizens. This collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development and Family, as well as the Ministry of Municipality, aims to streamline procedures and expedite approvals, helping projects align with sustainability standards in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.”

The platform offers citizens a comprehensive digital solution, where they can access the list of contractors and consultants, enhancing their experience with transparency and efficiency whether they are beneficiaries of the bank’s housing loan program or are planning to build their own homes.”
The platform’s second phase has expanded to include a broader list of registered contractors and consultants. Citizens can now view ratings and reviews of the services provided by consulting offices and contracting companies, helping them select the home design that suits their needs. Additionally, they can easily choose contractors and consultants through the platform, making QDB a key partner in supporting citizens through all stages of their home building journey while also empowering companies in the construction sector.
Looking ahead, Qatar Development Bank plans to introduce additional home designs on the platform and continuously expand services to further ease citizens’ journey in building their homes.
QDB also announced that, effective June 2025, only contractors and consultants registered on its platform will be eligible to participate in the implementation of new housing projects for beneficiaries of QDB’s housing loan program.
QDB encourages companies to register promptly on the platform to be included in the lists and invites citizens to visit the Binaa platform to explore available designs, along with detailed information on each plan.
