Event Aims to Empower Qatari Exporters in the Saudi Market


Doha, Qatar: Qatar Exports, powered by Qatar Development Bank (QDB), hosted a high-level roundtable discussion at its Saudi Arabia office on 07 – 08 July, 2025. The first-of-its-kind event marked a significant step toward empowering Qatari exporters in the Kingdom and bolstering their relations with investors and various stakeholders.

The roundtable brought together 10 leading Qatari companies in the construction and contracting sectors, alongside Saudi market experts, stakeholders, and developers such as, Diriyah Company, Soudah Development Company, and Red Sea Global. The event aimed to explore opportunities for cooperation, better understand local market needs, and help Qatari firms lay the groundwork for accessing and contributing to major Saudi projects.

Participants gained valuable insights into the Saudi market's dynamics while showcasing their capabilities in executing large-scale, high-quality projects. The initiative underscored Qatar Exports’ commitment to expanding the reach of Qatari exporters and supporting the growth of the private sector both regionally and internationally. Through QDB, Qatar Exports offers a comprehensive suite of support services, including financing through the Buyer Credit Program, in-depth market research, direct matchmaking with key partners in priority markets, .and tailored training for exporters to enhance their skills and support the growth of their businesses.

Commenting on the event, Mr. Khalid Al-Mana, QDB’s Vice President for Enterprise Development and Executive Director of Qatar Exports, said: “This first-of-its-kind roundtable is a vital first step toward hosting more engaging and interactive discussions in the Kingdom and opening new horizons for Qatari companies in the Saudi market. The event marks another milestone in the growing trade and investment ties between Qatar and Saudi Arabia and reflects the determination of Qatari companies to contribute to the Kingdom’s ambitious development agenda. Qatar Exports had earlier facilitated Qatar’s participation in the Saudi Giga Projects Summit 2025, reinforcing its mission to promote national companies in line with the country’s strategy to expand into high-potential regional markets.
