A strategic initiative by Qatar Development Bank and its ecosystem partners to attract high-impact founders, innovators, and specialized talent to Qatar through short-and long-term temporary residency opportunities.

Program Tracks

 

Startup Qatar Track

A dedicated track for beneficiaries
of the Startup Qatar
Investment Program.


Residency Duration 1 year, renewable for up to 2 years.
Accommodation Accommodation is provided after signing the investment agreement.
Support Supports founders and team members relocating to Qatar to build and scale their ventures.
 

Builder Track

Tailored for startups within the Partners Portfolio seeking to build or expand operations in Qatar.


Residency Duration 6 months, renewable for up to 12 months.
Operational Presence Enables companies to establish an operational presence and access the wider Qatari innovation ecosystem.
Applications Applications are submitted through an online form and must meet specific eligibility criteria.
 

Explorer Track

For entrepreneurs enrolled in QDB and TCP Partners active Programs



Residency Duration Up to 3 months.
Market Discovery Designed for immersive market discovery, early validation, and ecosystem engagement.
Exposure Provides hands-on exposure to Qatar’s business environment and collaboration pathways.

No, the residency units are provided free of charge. Logistics and relocation costs will be covered by the entrepreneur and the startups themselves. Residents may be required to complete an end-of-program questionnaire about the support provided.
