Awareness Session on Calculating Corporate Zakat and Zakat for Investment Portfolio

Qatar Development Bank, in partnership with the Department of Zakat Affairs of the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, is pleased to invite you to attend an awareness session dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises on how to calculate corporate Zakat and Zakat for investment portfolios.

The session will cover the following topics:

• The Sharia basis for calculating corporate Zakat.
• The components of the Zakat base and their linkage to the Sharia basis and to accounting financial reports.
• How to use the corporate Zakat calculator and learn about its key features.

This session aims to enable attendees to understand the Sharia and practical aspects of calculating Zakat, and to support companies in applying best financial practices in accordance with Islamic Sharia.
