QDB’s Situation Room

In light of the current regional developments, and based on private sector insights, Qatar Development Bank (QDB) has activated a dedicated Situation Room to support Qatar-based manufacturers and private sector companies, alongside an integrated package comprising four financing and advisory support programs. The package supports and empowers wholesale and retail companies, as well as factories operating in the food and health sectors and their ancillary industries, to strengthen operational readiness and help ensure the continuity of national production and supply chains across priority sectors.

Financing and Advisory Programs for The Food and Health Sectors

In coordination with the Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of Food Security Policies, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and the Ministry of Public Health and based on feedback from the private sector received at the Qatar Development Bank Situation Room we announce the activation of a suite of products and services designed to support and empower companies and factories operating in the food and health sectors, as well as their ancillary industries.

This package is designed to support and empower these companies and factories to bolster operational readiness and ensure national production continuity, and includes the following four key programs:

  1. Supply Chain Financing for Priority Products:

    QDB will provide partial guarantees for wholesale and retail trade companies to support financing applications through the commercial banks where the company holds an account.

  2. Raw Material Inventory Financing:

    Direct QDB financing for factories in priority sectors to strengthen their raw material inventory and prepare for any potential future disruptions in supply chains.

  3. Logistics Support Program for Imports:

    Launching a dedicated program to support the logistics operations of relevant imports for factories operating in priority sectors.

  4. Specialized Advisory Services:

    Providing expert advisory services to factories operating in priority sectors to facilitate contingency planning and strengthen business continuity.

The Financing and Advisory programs are specifically designed for Qatar-based factories, as well as wholesale and retail companies, operating within the food and healthcare sectors and their auxiliary industries.

Regarding the Stabilize & Sustain bundle, eligibility is open to all Qatar-based companies. Applications are evaluated in accordance with Qatar Development Bank’s established policies and procedures.
